Dear Parents of Vocal Performance Students,

You are cordially invited to attend the March Music In Our Schools Concert at the multi-purpose room of your child(ren)’s elementary school. The date for all schools are as followed:

Alderwood—Thursday, December 18, 7:00 p.m.

Brywood—Wednesday, December 10, 7:00 p.m.

Eastshore—Monday, December 8, 7:00 p.m.

Oak Creek—Tuesday, December 16, 7:00 p.m.

Turtle Rock—Tuesday, December 9, 7:00 p.m.

All vocal students from 4th, 5th and 6th grade classes will be performing in this concert. Also, the information regarding Honor Chorus audition will be available at this concert.

During the twice-weekly music lessons, students have learned the basic music elements. Some of the activities include:

• Learning the proper breathing technique,

• Working on more advanced warm-up exercises in two parts,

• Studying more advanced music elements,

• Expanding vocal range from G below middle C to high A,

• Reading two-part music notations,

• Singing intervals from unison to octave, and

• Singing songs in 2 or 3 parts.

Please come to the concert at 6:45 p.m., so the students may sign in for extra credits. We will promptly start the concerts at 7:00 p.m. each evening. Students are to wear any outfit that makes them look beautiful or handsome. The minimum requirement is that the outfit has no mud or holes on it.
